Valley Fire Protection earns IREM’s 2014 community service award

Batavia, IL March 14, 2014 — The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) presented Valley Fire Protection Systems with its prestigious 2014 Community Service Award during its tenth annual PREMIER Awards at Chicago’s historic Drake Hotel on March 7. The Community Service Award recognizes an organization that has provided outstanding contributions to the community they serve and enhanced the reputation of the real estate industry.

“It is an absolute honor to be recognized once more by IREM,” said Valley Fire Protection Systems President Tom Hartel. “We at Valley strive to do all that we can for the community, and I’m very proud of everything our team did to earn the IREM Community Service Award.”

Valley supports a wide range of civic and charitable organizations, including the Kane County Fire Chiefs Association, Wheaton Academy, the Nazareth Academy Parents Club, Catholic Charities, Northern Illinois Food Bank, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, Misericordia Women’s League, the Central DuPage Health Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project, CASA Kane County and Marklund at Mill Creek.

“Our people make Valley the outstanding company that it is,” said Valley Sales Representative Jill Donovan, who accepted the award on the company’s behalf. “Nothing is more important to Valley Fire than giving back to the community. We participate in volunteer programs, fundraising efforts and community events for a number of organizations all throughout the year.”

Valley works to educate all property managers, builders and other stakeholders on topics related to fire safety systems through a variety of channels. Valley representatives regularly present at and participate in trade shows and other events, and the company publishes educational white papers and a quarterly newsletter.

Valley Fire Protection is honored to once again join the other outstanding IREM Community Service Award recipients.
